A flagpole to commemorate the new millennium will be unveiled in Cullingworth this weekend.
The Union Flag will be raised on the eight metre high flagstaff during a ceremony at noon on Sunday.
After a service at St John's Parish Church, a procession led by the air cadets will move its way over to the flagpole erected next to the village cenotaph.
Led by Flight Lieutenant David Ireland, the air cadets will be followed by Brownies and Rainbows from 1st Cullingworth and scouts from 11th Keighley (Cullingworth).
Trumpeter Ken Lee, a former music teacher at Malsis School, will sound the last post and reveille to accompany the hoisting of the flag.
The £300 flagpole, which has a full size Union Flag and St George's Cross, has been realised by members of the parish council's millennium sub committee.
Villagers and local businesses have contributed to a millennium fund.
Parish councillors have also voiced their dismay at the theft of five Union Flags and a chinese flag from around the village.
They were among 20 which had been draped around the village as part of its millennium celebrations.
