Bradford Sunday Alliance League and Cup action: Wibsey WMC started the year with their first Premier Division win, beating fellow strugglers Victoria Rangers 2-1.

After a goalless 45 minutes, Vics went in front. Paul Haggerty equalised and after Vics' Steve Forest had missed a penalty, Wibsey took the points with a 70th-minute effort from Jason Powell.

Bradford Moor lead the division for the first time after a 2-1 win at Wyke Wanderers. Looking to be heading for a comfortable 2-0 win after goals from Pritaal Singh and Chris Jeng, an own goal by Jimmy Edwards caused late concern.

Starting to get the results that their potential warrants, Queens-bury were 5-2 winners over Ventus. Veteran player-manager Terry Mason ran the show and there were braces from the promising Grant Cooper and Mick Naylor.

In a day of shocks in the First Division, leaders Craven Heifer went down 3-2 to mid-table Mile-stone. After Craven had twice equalised veteran Phil Mullaney hit the 70th-minute winner.

Wrose Bull were another leading side to lose when they fell 3-1 to Queens Athletic, new signings Tim Clarke (2) and Roger White sharing the resurgent Queens' goals.

Steve Daykin hit his 1,500th goal as Undercliffe Cricket Club beat bottom club Baildon Trinity 11-4 in Division 1A. Trinity were helped by the cricket club's stand-in goalkeeper Bob Laking losing a contact lens in the mud!

Bolton Woods Social were unlucky not to gain at least a point at Dudley Hill Rangers in Division 1B. Craig Brown, who had equal-ised Social's opener, proved the late hero, heading home Terry Faw-thorpe's cross to make it 3-2.

While Chellow moved up three places with a 2-1 win over Wrose Albion, leaders Springfield took their unbeaten record to ten games with a 5-1 win at Woodman.

A 25-yarder from Herol Brown was a feature of Eccleshill United's 3-0 half-time lead over Station. After Eccleshill made it 4-0, Stat-ion's leading scorer Phil Boyce hit two goals, only for Eccleshill's Richard Feeley to wrap it up with a goal direct from a corner.

Hare & Hounds stay level with Springfield after a 4-1 win over White Eagles.

Ring o'Bells Shipley shattered Post Office's 100 per cent record in Division 3A. Chris Hainsworth scored first for Ring o' Bells, but Barry Morgan had the leaders 2-1 up at the break. Tony Auty levelled and Paul Rushworth netted twice to give ring o'Bells a 4-2 victory.

Eccleshill Sports closed the gap with a 3-0 win at Red Lion, Andy McGill got the first, two own goals completing the win.

Shoulder of Mutton are still in the hunt after thrashing Bankfoot Lions 14-2. Peter Dinsdale got five, Neil Patterson and Mike Crowther grabbing two each.

Division 2A leaders Mail Coach Odsal wasted no time in building a 4-0 lead at home to Eccleshill CC. The visitors had two sent off in a 7-1 loss, John Penn and John Hart both scoring hat-tricks and sub Ben Watson completing the win. Lee Reeder banged in four to help Bay Horse thrash Malt Kiln 9-0.

Paul Saville's hat-trick ensured Wilson Transport stay top of Divi-sion 2B. Neil Baldwin got the other in the 4-2 win at Horse and Groom.

Holme Wood Athletic went top of Division 3B. Luke Wilcock netted four, Rob Harrison two and Andy Moulden and Mark Warren one each as Wyke fell 8-2.

Rosse stay third following a 3-2 win at Fountain Reserves. Peter Whelan scored twice, Richard White adding the other.

Lithuanian Rovers went top of Division 4A. Danny Harrison and Phil Oates scored as Wrose Old Boys were beaten 2-0.

Meanwhile, Wyke Wanderers reached the last 16 of the West Riding County FA Sunday Trophy. Their expected difficult game at Clarence never materialised, Mark Smith and Wayne Jones helping themselves to a hat-trick apiece in an 8-1 win.

Eccleshill United's Saturday manager Ray Price scored twice in a great Alliance Intermediate Cup quarter-final at Malta Court. United edged through thanks to a Nick Hird effort.

Heaton United went down 3-2 at home to Wibsey WMC Reserves in the Amateur Cup. Hare and Hounds went through 5-4 at the ex-pense of Napoleon.
