Geoffrey Richmond has issued a rallying call to Bradford City fans ahead of their crucial relegation tussle with bottom club Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.
The Bantams travel to Hillsborough on Saturday for what the City chief describes as "the most important game of the season thus far".
City are eight points ahead of Wednesday and have lobbied the Owls to receive the whole of West Stand of the Leppings Lane end of the ground.
And Richmond is calling on City fans to pack the away end and give their side a huge boost in such a vital match.
He said: "Sheffield Wednesday have been good enough to move some of their season ticket holders from the bottom tier of the stand after we persuaded them we needed the whole end.
"We have 6,000 tickets available and have sold around 2,200 so far. Business was brisk yesterday but obviously we are hoping to justify asking for more than the usual allocation of 3,700.
"The fans have got a major part to play between now and the end of the season. The atmosphere was wonderful during the Chelsea game and I am sure that contributed to what was a wonderful 90 minutes.
"The fans played their full part and I hope they will provide more of the same on Saturday because it is worth so much to the team."
Tickets priced £18 (concessions £11) are on general sale from Valley Parade.
