A festive light show is set to remain in place until the end of the month.
Volunteers who worked hard to give Heckmondwike its Christmas lights last month need to work hard again to take them back down.
Organiser councillor Tim Crowther (Lab, Heckmondwike) said: "We've got an enthusiasm problem. There's a certain reward to putting them up which you don't have taking them down."
In November and December Coun Crowther and a small team of Heckmondwike Chamber of Trade members hung lights across town streets and mounted displays in Green Park.
Coun Crowther hopes the reverse process will begin again this weekend with volunteers being rallied once more.
"I don't want to squeeze people too hard and make them think they're being taken for granted," he said.
"It will take about two weekends. Some of them are still lit up at night so it needs to be done."
Tony Rider, whose expertise as an electrical shop owner is vital to the operation, said: "If they stay up at least they'll be there for next year."
