Former Bradford Dukes star Mark Loram (Poole Pirates) is set to return to Telford's ice meeting on Sunday, February 13.

The British No 1, who won the Swedish Grand Prix last season and is thought of as potential outdoor world champion, last competed at Telford in 1992.

"He didn't make the impact he would have liked, but he has come a long way since then and would be a sensation the second time around," said World Indoor Ice promoter Graham Drury.

"We have made him an offer and are waiting for his decision. Much will depend on his commitments."

Danish international Jan Staechmann has confirmed his participation.

He sustained a toe injury in the Brighton Bonanza meeting last month.

Also confirmed are British ice champion Paul Hurry and former winners Mario Jirout and Wayne Broadhurst.

Workington duo Carl Stone-hewer and Brent Werner and Newport's Anders Henriksson have been booked as well, while Wolverhampton's Nicki pedersen and Jesper Jensen and Peterborough's David Howe will be making their Telford debuts.
