YOUNG Guiseley badminton exponent Dawn Johnson travels to Denmark this weekend to represent England in an Under-17 junior competition. She is named in a team of four girls and four boys to represent their country.
Dawn, a pupil at Guiseley School, is rapidly making a name for herself in the world of badminton and she is No 1 seed for the National Championships which will be held in February at the Doncaster Dome. Dawn has also been invited to compete in an invitation Under-17 event at Wimbledon and in the Delyn Invitation in Flint, Wales, at the end of the month.
She will represent Yorkshire in the Rio Tournament on January 22 and 23 in York. She represented Yorkshire's winning third team seniors last weekend against Lincolnshire.
