Silsden Under-11's got the new year off to a great start with a 7-1 victory over Bingley. They were 3-1 up at the break and continued to pile on the agony for Bingley with excellent performances in defence from William Maisey, tom Hill and Jonas Bartle. The midfield of Gianluca Consoli and Ross Croad played well setting up chances which were well taken by man of the match Andrew North (4), Adam McLean, Alexander Pietrovito and Croad. Robert Weaver scored an excellent consolation goal for Bingley.
Silsden Under-12's came up against a strong Parkside team but good teamwork gave the Cobbydale lads a 3-1 victory. Chris Page scored the first goal and some excellent defensive work by Alan Brewer kept the visitors off the scoresheet.
Midfielder Chris Sutcliffe scored the second goal and Gavin Shearer added the third. Nick McNally was Silsden's man of the match and he was well supported by Daniel McNulty.
