Sandy Lane had Dave Strathie to thank for their 6-2 win over Boltmakers in the Senior Cup.
Strathie hammered in four goals, with other strikes from Richard Hibbert and Matthew Smith.
Baildon New Inn had a poor first half in Group B when they conceded three goals to St Annes without reply. After the break Baildon came back strongly and only an excellent performance by the Saint keeper secured them the win.
Malt Shovel looked to be heading for a high scoring win in the Sunday Cup when they led Victoria 2000 6-1 at the break. Victoria rallied and scored four more times, but still went down 8-5. Malt's goals came from Andy Thornton (3), Richard Clarke (2), Dave Symonds (2) and Mick Malyon.
JPL went a goal behind at home to Glen House in Group B, but pulled back to lead 3-2 at the half time after gifting Glen House both their goals. JPL pulled further ahead in the second half and although they won 6-2 they were disappointed not to score more. Goals came from Leighton Shackleton (2), Dean Lamb (2) and Peter Rooks (2).
