Growing firm Cox Insurance is planning to take on extra staff at its Bradford call centre.
The company, which will eventually bring 200 jobs to the city, has already employed 75 workers at its Wells Street offices and is now recruiting a further 100.
The firm, which has its headquarters in Brentwood, Essex, intends to invest heavily in Bradford because of the friendliness of the people, the quality of the workforce and the help it has received from Bradford Council and Bradford TEC.
The flagship call centre, which was opened last October, is involved in helping customers with Freeserve's insurance channel InsuranceWide.Com and Cox's online insurance channel Insure.co.uk.
Cox's Home Insurance and Motorcycle Insurance calls are also to be answered in Bradford from today.
Cox's call centre operations director Maria Bourke, said: "Cox has been thrilled with the diversity of staff we have attracted to the call centre enabling us to increase our product range far more than we had anticipated.
"The city is now at the heart of Cox and we have installed hi-tech video conferencing across our sites to enable us to communicate with each main centre."
