WR County Amateurs: Dale Hoyle, who netted five goals last week for Phoenix against Aberford Albion, bagged another four in a 5-3 win over Altofts in the second round of the Sportsshoes Unlimited Premier Division Cup.
Mick Gilmartin gave Phoenix a 1-0 half-time advantage before Hoyle netted a hat-trick in the first 30 minutes of the second period.
Altofts responded with three goals in ten minutes, from Richard Hill (2) and Paul Robinson but Hoyle put the game beyond their reach with his fourth goal in the last minute.
While Phoenix were booking their League Cup semi-final place Hemsworth Miners Welfare took over Phoenix's spot at the top of the Mumtaz Premier Division with a last minute winner at Golcar United.
Stuart Clark gave Hemsworth a first half lead as hosts Golcar dominated the game.
Bob Clarke netted in the second half to equalise, but with time running out and a draw on the cards Steve Donaldson snatched a last gasp winner for the Miners.
Brighouse Town moved into third place after a goal from Shaun Walsh in the second half gave them a 1-0 home victory over Littletown.
Otley Town who should have been on Wharfedale District FA Cup duty - their game at Baildon Trinity Athletic being called off - could only watch as newcomers Stump Cross cut their lead at the top of Division One to one point following a 3-2 home victory over Rawdon Old Boys.
Dudley Hill Athletic had goals in the second half from Craig Hainsworth and Mal Dimbleby to thank for their 2-0 home defeat of Salt Old Boys.
Ventus Yeadon Celtic proved far too strong for bottom placed Heckmondwike Town. Second half goals from Rick Worrall (2), Keith Turner, Gary Clifford and Mick Lindo gave them a 5-0 victory.
Silsden took their goal tally for the season so far over the 50 mark as they strengthened their grip at the top of Division Two with an 8-0 home victory over local rivals Steeton. Steve Gray (3), Rob Pearson (2), Andy Lee, Andy Geary and Jimmy Edges all getting on the score sheet.
Keighley Shamrocks maintained second place with a 5-2 home win over Ovenden WR Reserves.
Salts held the lead at Phoenix Reserves with a strike from Paul Heggarty but were hit by two late goals to go down 2-1.
Bowling increased their chances of promotion from Division Three by taking all three points off leaders Roberttown with a 5-3 win to move into second place.
Bowling Celtic keeper Paul Booth saved this third successive penalty following last week's twin saves at Morley Town. He was again on form as he stopped Phil Morton's spot kick at Rawdon Old Boys Reserves. Danny Lee did convert one penalty for Bowling, before Carl Douglas rescued a point with a late equaliser.
Salts Reserves clinched a second round Division Three Cup game at Batley Town next Saturday after winning a penalty shoot out 5-4 over Littletown Reserves. It was 2-2 after extra-time.
