Bradford rider Chris Young finished tenth in the final round of the National Trophy Cyclo Cross competition at Leicester.
Young was just over four minutes down on the new national champion Roger Hammond who was the runaway winner.
Hammond was never seriously challenged over the 15 mile course as he ran out a clear winner by 37 seconds from Steve Knight (Peugeot).
Young was eighth overall in the competition which was won by Barrie Clarke (Raleigh).
Young will be available to lead the Yorkshire challenge in the forthcoming inter-regional championship at Huddersfield on February 6.
