Bradford Bulls have reported record breaking season ticket sales as they set their stall out to make amends for last season's Grand Final defeat.

Over £400,000 worth of tickets have been sold - an increase of £50,000 on last season - with the launch of Super League still seven weeks away.

Chairman Chris Caisley said: "The fans have responded superbly and hopefully there is more to come.

"We have put together an even stronger squad this time and are determined to bring in some silverware.

"Many of the other sides have done the same and that should ensure even more competitive matches which can only be a good thing.

"We have totally re-vamped our pre-match entertainment package and we are looking to at least get back to the level of support of 1997 which would mean average crowds of 15,000.

"That is our aim and if we don't manage it I shall be disappointed and somewhat surprised.

"There are still quite a few stand tickets left though and we would emphasise again just what good value our season tickets represent," he added.

Bulls are hoping that more Friday night kick-offs will also have a positive effect at the turnstiles following on from the record Super League crowd of over 24,000 for the visit of Leeds for the last league match of the season in September.

Eight of their 14 home league games have so far being set for Friday nights.

Meanwhile the Bulls squad are preparing for their week-long training camp in Lanzarote.
