Oakworth Under-14's policy of all out attack from the word go reaped dividends in their Steve Greenwood Memorial Cup encounter with Silsden. Adam Clewes opened the scoring, hammering in an inside pass from Nicky Trowers who followed suit, turning his marker before slotting home. Paul Drury made it 3-0 at half time, but Oaks began to tire in the second period, allowing the visitors to grab a consolation goal to make the final score 3-1.
Cullingworth Under-8's got the new year off to a great start with a hat-trick of goals in the first 10 minutes against Nab Wood on their way to a7-3 victory. Man of the Match James Macullack scored the opening hat-trick, but then they appeared to sit back on their lead allowing the home side to score twice before the break. Nab Wood continued their fight back, drawing level early in the second period. Cullingworth forced a home goal before Samantha Whittaker, the only girl in the league, scored twice. James Macullack added the final goal.
After a lengthy lay off Oakworth Under-12's got rolling again with a 4-0 victory over Eccleshill. Nivard Trowers scored a penalty, James Thompson added two and Joel Gallagher one. Joe Kershaw was man of the match.
An injury-hit Long Lee Under-13's put in a brave performance against Eccleshill Whites, but suffered a 5-1 defeat. A string of fine saves by man of the match Craig Lawson and a well taken goal from Danny Watson kept Long Lee in contention for most of the game.
Long Lee Under-9's A warmed up for the re-start of their season with a 2-1 win at Wyke. Two goals from Joe Park sealed a valuable victory with Patrick King getting back to form with a solid performance.
Long Lee Under-9's B suffered only their second defeat of the season in their friendly at Wyke. Harry Walkden supplied the cross for Matthew Morrison to volley Long Lee into the lead, only to concede three goals.
Silsden Under-11's set off at a cracking pace against resolute Eccleshill side, with Adam McLean opening the scoring, quickly followed by goals from Andrew North and McLean's second. Hamish Munro hammered in a left foot shot to put Silsden 4-0 up at the break. Man of the match Ross Croad added the fifth in the second half to complete the scoring. There were also good performances from Clark Greenwood, tom Hill and goalkeeper Jason Perry.
Overnight frost made conditions difficult for Silsden Under-12's, but they still beat Shipley 4-0 thanks to a Gavin Shearer hat-trick and goal from Nick McNally. Man of the match James Holden was backed up with superb performances from Chris Page and Chris Hextall.
Silsden Under-211's B drew 2-2 with Wyke after being 1-0 up at the break thanks to a Matthew Athersmith goal. The home side hit back with two goals in the second half and Chris Oldcorn put them level. The team also had to thank man of the match Luke Lockwood for a share of the points with his fine performance in defence.
Sean Thornton was man of the match for Silsden Under-9's in their 3-0 victory over Shipley. Goals were scored by Ryan Jackson, James Gorman and Sam Neil with Stuart Todd on form in goal.
Silsden Under-8's went down 10-2 to Bingley with goals from Allister Holliday and Jonathan Bradshaw for the Cobbydale club. Freddie Ozyenco was man of the match for Silsden.
