Keighley Albion crashed to a bad defeat when they should have been pushing for a top-four spot in National Conference Division Two .
They fell 16-15 at home to strugglers New Earswick which has left them with a lot of do if they are to make the top four this season.
Coach Gary Moorby was furious, saying: "Error after error and silly penalty after silly penalty really gifted them this game.
"I don't mind losing to good sides - you expect it in this game - but what really upset me was the manner of defeat."
"You can get away with it when one or two players have off days but when the whole team has a stinker there's nothing much you can do as a coach."
Albion gifted the York side an early 12-point lead which took some pulling back. Craig Morphet dived in for a try just before half-time, Dean Brookes converting to make it 12-6 at the break.
Matt Horne dived over in the 59th minute and a Bobby Brown drop goal made it 12-11.
But five minutes from time New Earswick scored the decisive try.
Rob Bailey got a late try for Albion but the conversion was too wide for Brookes to snatch victory.
Silsden Park Rangers went to Emley Moor, who are pushing for promotion in the Pennine League Division Two and went down 66-30.
Their ability to score 30 points against tough opposition will have given Silsden coach Alan Bancroft much hope for the future.
Keighley Town's trip to Birkenshaw was postponed due to the Bradford side's involvement in the National Cup, but at least the second team got a rare outing, losing 14-12 to Shelf Lions in Division Three.
Town were unlucky and should have had two rare points as they struggle to avoid relegation but were denied by a last-minute Lion's try.
Ryan Wilkie got Town off to a great start when he followed up a kick ahead to touch down, Mark Fudge getting the conversion.
Gary Marples then produced a superb solo try which Fudge converted.
Leading 12-8 with seconds left Town looked like snatching victory only to be denied in injury time.
