Oakworth Under-14's came up against a resolute Bolton Woods in the League Cup with centre back Liam Blacka breaking the deadlock with a penalty after 14 minutes only for the home side to level within 60 seconds. A superb pass from Nicky Trowers put Paul Drury in the clear to give the Oaks a 2-1 interval lead.
Playing down the slope after the break Woods were soon 3-2 up before Trowers, back to goal, spun, and fired home. Again Woods restored the lead but Oakworth were not to be denied as first Trowers slotted home and then Steve Perkins grabbed the winner.
Oakworth Under-8's lost 4-0 to Wyke. Despite being under pressure for most of the match they kept the score down to the odd goal until the final four minutes. Joshua Isherwood was named man of the match.
Oakworth Under 8's B lost 1-0 at Wyke, matching the home team with a fine team performance after conceding a first half goal. Man of the match was Ben Keighley, who worked tirelessly in midfield.
Oakworth Under-7's A beat Salts 12-0 in a totally one-sided contest. Scorers were George Turner (4), Matthew Moore (4), Luke Chapman (2), Thomas Hudson. Man of the match was Joseph Alvey.
Long Lee Juniors Under-13's A played out a tense Craven Cup match with Cowling, taking a 4-1 victory after extra time. Danny Watson and Alistair Houldsworth scored two goals each and Danny McHugh was man of the match after a sound performance in defence.
Silsden Under-12's A beat their B team 4-0 in the second round of the Craven Cup. Chris Sutcliffe scored twice with other goals from Mick McNally and Gavin Shearer. Luke Delvecio was man of the match with Ben McClennan and Scott Moyle giving their best for the B's.
Alexander Pietrovito scored the only goal in Silsden Under-11's 1-0 win over Shipley in their top of the table clash. Both sides showed a 100 per cent commitment. There was no score at half time, but Silsden's goal came midway through the second half after good build up work from Sam Dowgill and Andrew North. Jonas Bartle was man of the match with Adam McLean and Ross Croad on form. Shipley kept piling forward by William Maisey, Tom Hill and Hamish Munro were solid in their defensive work. Ten minutes from the end Shipley missed a penalty which would have given them an equaliser.
Silsden Under-9's A bear Gomersal 2-1 with two goals from man of the match Paul Jowett. Chris Cummins was also on form.
Silsden Under-9's B enjoyed a 6-0 victory over Gomersal with double strikes from Robert Windle, Nathan Bradbury and Jon Jo Berry. Robert Windle was man of the match.
Silsden Under-9's went down 4-3 at Cross Roads with Aatif Raja man of the match. James Gorman scored twice and Frank Ninnis added the third goal. Goalkeeper Stuart Todd also turned in a good performance.
Silsden Under-10's A ran out 4-2 winners of Shipley A with goals from Thomas Beeley (3) and Andrew McNulty. Stevie Roberts was on form in midfield during a good team performance.
Silsden Under-10's B beat Shipley 4-2 with goals from David Hicks, Jack Ogalbe, Thomas Woods and Sam Neil. It was impossible to pick a man of the match due to an excellent team effort.
