RECORDS tumbled in the Soreen Stanbury Splash last weekend.
Four new marks were set with the overall record falling to six times winner, Ian Holmes, Steve Oldfield breaking the Over-40 veterans time, Tony Hesketh reducing the Over-50 mark and Elizabeth Tomes cutting the Over-40 ladies time.
Holmes axed 47 seconds from his own previous best time to finish in 43mins 35secs, and breaking the 44-minute barrier for the first time.
Steve Oldfield showed he has plenty of running left by taking second place overall and setting anew vet's record in a time of 46:23. Tony Hesketh set a Over-50 time with 50:41 in 18th place.
Helen Jonson, from Cononley, won the ladies race in the third fastest time (52:52) taking 39th place overall.
Keighley & Craven runner Elizabeth Tomes set a new Over-40 women's time in 59:32 and led the club's team to the women's title.
Colin Moses, who lives in Oldfield village, finally got his hands on the 'locals' trophy, beating Bingley team mate Ian Ferguson in a sprint finish through the quarry.
Pudsey and Bramley won the men's team title with Keighley & Craven taking the women's team prize. Anne Smith of Park High School, Colne won the junior race.
