Trutex, the UK's leading brand of school and sportswear, has appointed a freelance fashion designer to further develop its product portfolio.
Joanne Norris, 33, from Batley, has previously worked as a design consultant for many high street stores through her work at the Design Emporium. She has also travelled extensively throughout Europe, the Far East and the States, gathering information on future fashion trends.
The appointment forms part of the company's plans to shift from its traditional school uniform image towards an alignment with the high street fashion and leisurewear markets and its continuous commitment to being at the forefront of product innovation.
"I am delighted to be joining the company at such an exciting time. Trutex is a very forward looking company with its finger very much on the pulse of the school and sports wear market. My task will be to further bring the style of the high street into a range that will be appreciated by schools, parents and pupils alike," Joanne said.
Part of Joanne's remit will be to build a new sub brand culture to stand alone from the Trutex name.
