Small firms in Bradford are to be given a helping hand with marketing their products.

Business Link Bradford & District is part-funding a marketing programme which is expected to boost firms in the district.

The programme will be delivered by Janet Jay, of Janet Jay Business Services, along with Sharon Jandu of Global PR.

The programme includes training, advice and one-to-one support which will help participants to put together elements of a strategic marketing plan during each session.

Janet Jay said: 'Many training seminars merely cover theory and participants often find themselves back at base with no time to interpret and plan how the practicalities of the subject could benefit their business. The result is a lot of handouts stored and forgotten in the bottom drawer of filing cabinets.

"I wanted to give people the time and space to think about their business in the light of the information we were imparting. Participants will leave each of our seminars with a written plan and a step-by -step strategy with manageable and achievable aims and objectives."

For people completing all six parts of the programme, there will also be visits from a marketing professional and the opportunity to complete a full marketing plan.

The programme is aimed at owners, managers and marketing personnel of Bradford businesses employing less than 50 staff and is taking place during February and March at the Business Link Conference Centre in the city centre.
