New Keighley Cougars managing director Peter Rowe is hoping the club can turn their ground into a fortress, starting with tomorrow night's visit of Northern Ford Premiership top dogs Dewsbury.
Neil Kelly's Rams have made a highly impressive start to the campaign, winning their opening five matches and conceding an average of just seven points per game in the process.
Cougars have lost their last two games to Hull KR and Feather-stone, but Rowe says the clash with the Rams gives them the perfect chance to kick-start their season.
"It is not that long since Cou-gar Park was a place which filled the opposition with dread," said Rowe. "The noise was incredible and it was a massive lift to the side.
"We would like to recreate that atmosphere, and the foundations are already there with the hard core of around 2,000 fans who have stuck with the club through testing times.
"I know the performance against Hull KR was a big letdown, but I would appeal to those who have stayed away recently to come and give it another go.
"Everyone is working tremendously hard to get the club back where it belongs, and with the finances on a sound-footing we are now in a great position to deliver the goods.
"We have set ourselves some longer-term goals, but in the short term it would be a massive boost if we could pack the ground tomorrow night to really send out a message that the Cougars are on the way back.
"The Rams will be bringing a big following and Karl Harrison and the boys are determined to put on a show. It should be a cracking night."
A collection will be made at the game for the Keighley Boys side who have been selected as ball boys for the Silk Cut Challenge Cup final at Murrayfield on April 29.
Meanwhile, Dewsbury's Silk Cut Challenge Cup fourth-round tie against Widnes at the 3,000-capacity Ram Stadium on Sunday, February 13, has been made all-ticket. Tickets go on sale on Friday.
And Oldham St Anne's have forfeited home advantage in their fourth round Challenge Cup clash with Castleford Tigers.
