The Northern Ford Premiership is aiming to reach a total attendance for the season so far of 100,000 this weekend as crowds continue to surge ahead of last year's figures.
Since this season's Boxing Day kick-off a total of 87,432 have attended 43 matches compared with 57,532 at the first 44 matches of last season, which began on February 7.
The biggest crowd so far is 4,468 for Leigh Centurions' home game against Widnes Vikings on Boxing Day. Only one Premiership attendance surpassed that in the whole of last season, when 5,230 attended Widnes' home game against Leigh.
