Albion and Bingley U-18s 14, Upton Under-18s 0 - With all the other Albion teams winning this weekend it fell to the Under 18s to make it the full set and they didn't disappoint on a wet and windy day.

Playing with the wind in the first half Albion made a lot of ground against a strong and committed Upton defence but the poor conditions lead to too many handling errors at critical moments. There were 3 penalties offered through the half which Ronnie Hodgson duly converted to make the score at the break 6-0.

In the second half against the wind the pack asserted itself more and strong running from Andy Broughton and Andy Bailey took its toll on the Upton defence. The first try was scored by Ben Archibald who found himself on the end of some slick handling and forced his way over. The tryscoring was finished by Ed Dawson who found some space in the corner.

The result was a good reward for team effort under poor conditions and Albion can take heart from keeping the vistors scoreless.

n After a great win against Siddal Cougar Cubs Under-11's travelled to King Cross and fought back to a superb 28-26 victory.

Things looked desperate as the Keighley side trailed 22-6 at the break, but after the re-start they took on the big King Cross pack to devastating effect. John Meares, Richard Barr and Danny Snowden put in big performances prompted by scrum half James Wilkinson which allowed stand-off Tim Bibby to spray the ball about to quick backs James Gibson, Chris Thompson, Craig Nicholson and new full back Sue Hill. Great efforts were also put in by Joe Page, Thomas Hall, Sam Gibson and Harris Ismail.

After the upheaval of losing both coaches and a handful of players Cougar Cubs Under-15's showed spirit to beat Hillsborough Hawks 32-24 in the Bryan Ward memorial Trophy.

Chris Spencer opened the scoring in the first minute, stealing the ball in the tackle and diving over. Thomas Holland added a second with a 50-yard run, breaking three tackles.

Sheffield drew level, but good work out wide saw Spencer score his second and after a neat grubber kick from Chris Earle, Holland scored. The try of the game came from captain Colin Pickles who went the length of the field to put Cougars in command.

Matt Steel, who had converted four from six sealed the game in the dying minutes with a try from acting half.
