A woman and her two young daughters escaped unhurt from a blaze at their Guiseley home last night.
Rawdon and Otley firefighters were called to the house in Eliot Grove at 8.20pm after the woman discovered fire in a bedroom. She took her children out of the house before raising the alarm.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus went into the smoke-filled house to put out the blaze.
Sub Officer Steve Bennett said the cause of the fire, which left the bedroom badly damaged, was still being investigated.
Meanwhile fire damaged the first floor of a youth club in Ravenscliffe, Bradford, last night.
Firefighters were called to the building in Foundry Street at 8pm after fire broke out on the first floor. A spokesman for Dewsbury Fire Station said the blaze took an hour to put out but the structure of the building was still intact.
