A nationwide hunt for a man wanted in connection with a double murder led armed officers to Cleckheaton.
Residents in the Moorend area of the town have been warned not to approach a balding man wearing a green cap, and to dial 999 if he calls at their house.
Armed officers supported detectives from Humberside during a swoop on an address in Victoria Street on Sunday night.
Officers then made door-to-door inquries on Wednesday evening asking if anyone had seen a man fitting the description.
It is understood officers were searching for Raymond Paul Whittaker in connection with the killings of drug dealers Patricia Price and Ian Clark, found dead in their Bridlington home on December 18 after being shot in the head.
James Chopswood Morr-ison, 40, was arrested in North London on Sunday and charged with their murders.
He appeared before magistrates in Brough, East Yorkshire, yesterday.
