Ilkley Badminton Club's Third Division Men's team had an away match against Menston 'A' and lost by seven rubbers to two.
This was a hard match with Mike Smith and Ian Campbell winning the two Ilkley rubbers.
The other team members were David Varney and Richard Allatt, Graham Pratt and Mark Freeman.
The Second Division Ladies also playing away against Baildon Bridge 'A' lost by five rubbers to four. The team was Sue Stevens and Jenny Lewis, who won one rubber; Heather Rye and Fiona McMillan, who won two rubbers; and Janet Green and Vicky Ryan who won one rubber.
The Sixth mixed played at home against Old Grangers 'C', losing by five rubbers to four, with Lesley Eccles and Lee Spencer winning three rubbers comfortably.
Janet Green and Mark Freeman won one rubber, and Olwen Sharp and Joe McTigue also won one rubber. The club welcomes new members, and anyone interested should contact Vera Varley on (01943) 603342.
