KN SPORT received a request for a photograph of the Cougar squad from a national magazine this week.
We will soon be printing a picture of the current line-up for local fans, but had to tell the publishers that because of a delay in getting the new 'Woof' shirt we were still waiting for the new-look team photo.
They rang off disappointed, but within minutes were back on the line and were prepared to use last year's picture -- any picture of the Keighley team.
We were a bit baffled by the extreme interest from the publication -- Formula 1 Magazine. We know Karl Harrison had been trying to turbo-charge his wing men, but this seemed to be pushing things a bit far.
The the truth came out, the boys at F1 Magazine had heard the Cougars were playing Villeneuve this weekend, and are convinced the team is named after former race-ace Jacqes Villeneuve.
My French expert tells me that Villeneuve is quite a popular name across the Channel and simpley means New Town.
