ST ANNES CELTIC extended their lead at the top of the Premier Division in the only match played in the top flight.
They beat Boltmakers 7-0 after taking a 3-0 lead by half time with Paul Driver scoring twice and Dave McManus adding the third. After the break both players doubled their goal tally and before the final whistle Wayne Raistrick was on hand to tap in a rebounded penalty.
In the First Division Stoney Lane moved to within one point of leaders JPL, although they have games in hand, by beating Carters in a stormy game.
Carters took a 3-0 lead within the first 15 minutes, but Stoney lane came back to lead at half time through Nigel foster, Paul Gough, Paul Flannigan and an own goal. But after the break Stoney Lane lost two players and Carters also had one sent off following a fight, but Carters couldn't make the extra player count.
Bay Horse finally got their first win of the season with a convincing 2-0 victory against local rivals Malt Shovel. Matt Bower gave bay Horse a first half lead and Andy Armitage secured the points to coincide with the reopening of the bay Horse pub.
Victoria 2000 moved into fourth place with a 2-0 win over Woodend, but couldn't convert a host of chances. They had to rely on a late own goal to secure the points after Rob Dunn had given them a first half lead.
In the Senior Cup Regent Victoria took a 3-1 half time lead with two goals from Ben Whitaker and one from Nick Kendall but after the break Sandy Lane came back to equalise. A mistake from Regent's keeper handed the game to Sandy Lane with three minutes left.
In Group B Royal had a close first half against Baildon New Inn, but still went in at the break 3-0 up. In the second half Baildon got dejected and let their heads down, slipping to a 9-0 defeat. Nick Fawell scored a hat-trick with Geoff Hawkes and Dave Sugden scoring two and one each for Spencer Harrison and James Sinclair.
In the Sunday Cup JPL were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw by Bolton Villas. In a game of few chances Villas took the lead through Nigel Long and although JPL had a goal disallowed they equalised through Dean Lamb.
New Inn Windhill saw a 3-1 lead turn into a 4-3 deficit against Broadford Plant before late goals saw them win 5-4.
