No action will be taken by the Rugby Football League after Bradford Bulls took the field for Saturday's Challenge Cup tie with a different side to the one on the official team-sheet.

The list handed to the match officials and the press had Stuart Fielden in the run-on side with Paul Anderson on the bench.

But when the Bulls took the field the roles were reversed and technically it counted as the first of their six substitutions.

The RFL immediately announced an inquiry but later said no further action was necessary after accepting an apology from Bulls coach Matthew Elliott.

"It is entirely my mistake. I owe an apology to the officials and the press," he said.

"I've never got it wrong before, but I didn't check the team-sheet and so it was entirely my mistake. But I erred on the side of caution and only used five substitutes during the game."
