Outline plans for a housing development in Cleckheaton are to be considered by councillors this week.
British Belting and Asbestos (BBA) has put forward proposals to build six homes on disused land at the junction of Bradford Road and Valley Road.
Permission was granted to build houses by Kirklees Council at the site in 1982.
Members of the Authority's Heavy Woollen Planning Committee are expected on Friday to recommend the application is decided by planning officers.
Officers have recommended developers include a children's play area in their plans.
