Paul Jewell has held preliminary talks with Sheffield United about making loan goalkeeper Aidan Davison's move permanent.
Davison, who is in the third and final month of a loan deal from the Blades, has been thrust into first team action following injuries to first choice keepers Matthew Clarke and Gary Walsh.
Davison's loan spell runs out after City's match at Spurs on Saturday, March 4 and he will then return to United unless City decide to buy him.
Jewell said: "Manager Neil Warnock and I had a chat about things although nothing has yet been decided. There is still a lot to sort out. We've still got Aidan for another two weeks so we are taking it day by day."
