North Yorkshire Council is introducing free Internet access at all its libraries, including those at Cowling and Cross Hills.
Visitors will be able to surf the web for periods of up to an hour at a time free of charge.
County libraries chief Ray de Graff said: "This is probably the most exciting development since the North Yorkshire libraries service was created. Installation of the new system should be complete by the end of this month."
