COUGARS may have missed their chance of Challenge Cup glory -- but Keighley will still be taking the field at the Murrayfield final.
Keighley Schools Under-13's team has been asked to provide 10 Ball Boys for the final at Murrayfield April 29 and they have launched a fundraising drive to sponsor their kit, travel costs and accomodation.
"Rubgy League only want 10 ball boys, but we can't leave the rest of the lads out and want to take the whole team to the final. We have to pay for a new kit for all of them, and for the accomodation of the extra lads," said Jason Ramshaw.
A collection at Cougar Park raised £500 and the Supporters' Club made a £100 donation. Parents are holding a sponsored pub crawl today (Friday) ending at Club 101 and will also be packing shopping at Morrison's.
Anyone who can help with sponsorship should contact Jason Ramshaw on 01535-213111 or M: 07970-929358 or Jeremy Crowther on 01535-630833.
