Bradford Grammar School won 32-19 at Blackpool's Arnold School, but master in charge Charles Lines was not totally happy with his team's performance.
They made a great start by scoring the first of six tries in the early stages.
James Streets opened the scoring after picking up the ball from a ruck on Arnold's line.
The second try came from another ruck, when Michael Creswick sold a dummy and glided through a gap to score.
Arnold then hit back with converted tries of their own, but Bradford rallied up to half-time and were rewarded with their third try from Alan Bateson.
Bradford took charge again early in the second half when Peter Hull finished a good phase of play to score near the corner.
They scored another try after 60 minutes when Simon Hutton went over in the corner as he completed a good handling move
Their next try came from the restart when Creswick chipped the ball over Arnold's backs. When one of their players dropped it Alex Edmonds raced away to score.
Arnold scored their third try against the run of play.
Lines said: "It was an afternoon of pleasure and frustration, but it was made enjoyable by a first-class refereeing performance from Mark Nelson who was prepared to be critical of his own performance."
