HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL won the biggest Under-13's schools rugby league tournament to be held in Keighley, this week.
The competition, which was held at Cougar Park on Tuesday, was the highlight of an intensive four-week training programme run by Jason Ramshaw and Matt Foster.
The two Cougar stars visited schools throughout the district giving specialist training to groups of pupils and over 130 young people took part in the tournament.
The group results were: South Craven 18, Worth Valley 6; Bronte 6, Calversyke 1; Holy Family 12, Hartington 8; South Craven 8, Bronte 14; Worth Valley 0, Calversyke 8; Swire Smith 0, Hartington 30; South Craven 14, Calversyke 6; Swire Smith 0, Holy Family 18; Worth Valley 6, Bronte 18. Final: Holy Family 44, Bronte 4.
n On Monday Cougars are to join forces with the Bradford Sports Development Scheme to hold a coaching day at Marley for 6-13 year-old boys and girls. the course runs from 2.30 - 4pm and costs £1.20 with Cougar players in attendance.
