ONLY two matches were postponed on Saturday allowing clubs to make a little inroad into the fixture backlog.
More importantly two cup quarter finals were completed making the semi-final situation a little clearer.
In Division Two Gargrave Res tried hard against high flying Silsden FC and only went down 2-0. In Division Three Bradley Res entertained leaders Ilkley Juniors Youth FC and it was the home side who caused the upset defeating them by six goals to one to earn a semi-final tie against Intake Res.
League matches saw the Silentnight Premier Division leaders Crosshills lose a close match against Keighley FC to see their lead at the top cut to five points.
Second placed Embsay recorded a 6-1 away victory at Colne Cricket Club. Skipton Bulldogs had the biggest win of the day when they trounced Rimington FC away by 10 goals to one. They have seven matches in hand on the leaders and are just eight points adrift. Oxenhope Recreation had a 2-1 home victory over Skipton LMS and, like Bulldogs, have matches in hand on the leading teams.
In Division One leaders Addingham did not play but second placed Clitheroe United failed to take advantage when they lost at Grindleton by 3-2, Grindleton now moving into second pace a point behind the leaders.
St Paul's seemed to have lost their promotion bid, they went down at home to bottom club Oxenhope Recreation Res who recorded their first victory of the season in a 3-2 win.
Hellifield Sports gained revenge for their home defeat by Sutton last week, turning the tables on them with a 4-2 victory. Cowling and Bradley ended up all square at 1-1, whilst Intake slipped nearer Division Two with a 5-2 home defeat by Carleton.
Bronte Wanderers increased their lead at the top of Division Two with a narrow two one victory at Horton-in-Ribblesdale. Second placed Barnoldswick United dropped a home point to Keighley Res in a 1-1 draw, whilst Lothersdale Athletic lost further ground in the promotion stakes, going down at Silsden Athletic by a last minute goal.
Embsay Reserves moved into third place with a 4-1 home win over Barrowford United and Skipton Bulldogs Reserves and Skipton LMS Reserves both enjoyed home victories over Grindleton Reserves (4-0) and Cowling Res 3-0.
Top match in Division Three was the meeting between Grassington Reserves and Waddington.
Honours finished even at 4-4, with Waddington twice coming back from two down. Earby could have risen to third place had they defeated Hellifield Reserves but missed the chance by only drawing 1-1.
Intake Reserves moved away from the bottom spot with a 4-1 home defeat of Cononley Sports Reserves, their place being taken by Carleton Reserves who lost by five goals to two against McBrides FC. Skipton Town Reserves lost at home to Addingham Res 3-1.
