St ANNES CELTIC had a fright in their Newbridge Garage Senior Cup match with Royal when they found themselves 2-0 down at hal ftime.

Rob Demateius pulled a goal back before Wayne Raistrick scored the equaliser direct from a corner. With time running out Royal went in search of a winner and got caught on the break five minutes from time when Stuart Hudson scored the winner for Celtic.

In the Sunday Cup Glen House took an early 1-0 lead against Shoulder of Mutton through James Estell, although Shoulder hit back to lead at the break. In the second half Shoulder took control to lead 5-2, until Glen House pulled back to 5-4 with goals from Chris Hargreaves, Dominic Bartle and a second from Eastell. Two late goals secured a 7-4 win for Shoulder who had Colin Cuthbert and Joe Bryan scoring hat-tricks, together with one from Lee Allen.

With St Annes involved in Cup action Silsden kept up their pressure at the top with a 4-1 win over Victoria Hotel. Mick Ward gave Silsden the lead in the first half, playing with a strong wind, but couldn't add more before the break. Victoria equalised direct from the kick-off before goals from Mick Jarvis, Martin McClennan and a second for Ward secured the points for Silsden.

Boltmakers had a much needed 3-1 win at Baildon New Inn. Cameron Farnell gave Boltmakers the lead after just five minutes with John Morrell adding the second right on the break. Although New Inn pulled one back with a penalty, John Kilbey clinched the points five minutes from time.

JPL kept up their challenge at the top of the first division with a hard fought win at Bolton Villas. Villas started with nine men and JPL made it count by leading 4-2 at half time. In the second period, with Villas tiring, JPL took control to win 7-2 with Dean Lamb and Leighton Shackleton both scoring three, and one from Adam Goldsmith.

Victoria 2000 kept up their challenge with a hard fought game at Carters. Victoria took a 3-0 half time lead through Gavin Yates, Peter Dodds and Rob Dunn before Yates scored his second after the break to bring up a flattering 4-1 scoreline.

Stoney Lane stay at the top after beating Bay Horse 5-2, although it was Jon Harris who gave Bay Horse an early lead. Stoney hit back to lead 3-1 at the break. Ian Carter pulled a second back for Bay Horse, but Stoney made the game safe with goals from Paul Flannigan, Paul Gough, Paul Carter, James Lilley and Ian Wademan.
