A Keighley solicitor is seeking help from local Internet users.
Nigel Jamieson is representing Dean Lambert, of 9 Bradford Street, Lawkholme, who denies two charges of dishonestly obtaining services from Legend Internet Ltd.
Mr Jamieson says a trial date has not yet been fixed because the defence is making extensive inquiries and the prosecution is reviewing its position.
He adds: "We would like to appeal for help from any other users of the Internet who have experienced any inconsistencies or unexplained entries in their telephone bills, relating to that use."
Anyone who has encountered problems should contact Mr Jamieson at Blackwells Solicitors, 19 Devonshire Street, Keighley, or phone him on 01535 600005.
