Bradford Bulls are to receive an additional 200 tickets for Sunday's Silk Cut Challenge Cup quarter-final at Halifax.

The Odsal club appealed to their rivals for more tickets after their initial allocation of 4,000 was snapped up by season ticket holders in just three days.

The crushing win at Wake-field in the last round plus Friday's 32-10 demolition of Super League champions St Helens have whetted the appetites of the Bulls followers.

Bulls media manager Stuart Duffy said: "The response has been tremendous since the tickets went on sale on Friday.

"The ticket office staff were kept extremely busy on Saturday as our supporters wanted to make sure of their places at the cup clash."

The Bulls will receive the extra tickets on Wednesday. Details of how they are to be sold have yet to be announced.

The capacity of the Shay is around 10,000 and it is likely to be packed to capacity for what promises to be a thrilling cup encounter.

Halifax are not selling any further tickets for the game until Wednesday.

Their season ticket holders and lottery members have until 5pm tomorrow to claim their tickets. After that, tickets will go on open sale.

The Blue Sox predict that around 500 will be available from the club shop on Union Street, Halifax, from 9.30am on Wednesday.
