A plan for a nightclub in Shipley has been rejected by councillors.
Local residents objected to Baildon businessman Steven Halliday's bid to run the new venture on the Market Street site of the former Terminal One club, which has been empty for three years. The licensing panel refused his application for a public entertainments licence and refused to give reasons for their decision.
Many elderly residents of nearby flats in Central Avenue signed a petition protesting that the club would bring late-night disturbance.
Mr Halliday, said: "I'm disgusted. I've bent over backwards to please everybody and they've come back with this unbelievable decision."
