Former Bradford Northern skipper Paul Harkin is back at Odsal.
He has joined the Bradford Bulls' backroom team as a coach.
The popular Harkin has been given initial responsibility for the club's trainees.
He is also having input into the coaching of the Bulls' under-18 and under 21 sides.
Head coach Matthew Elliott said: "We are delighted to have Paul on board working with us.
"He is initially with us for a trial period but the initial signs are very encouraging.
"It is good to have another person in the backroom team who has such a deep feeling for the club and what it is about."
Harkin has joined Bulls after working on the Leeds Schools Development programme based at South Leeds Stadium.
During his playing career he had spells with Bradford, Leeds Halifax, Hull KR and Hunslet.
One of the young players who will be coming under his charge will be Jason Boults, a second row forward who has been signed from the Siddal club in Halifax.
Boults is the latest player to be recruited by chief scout Eric Hawley.
He said: "I am delighted that Jason has chosen to join the Bulls because he is a superb athlete."
