A Bronteland bunkhouse development has earned international recognition.
Westfield Lodge Moorside Bunkhouses at Oxenhope has taken its first overseas bookings, for 120 Belgian schoolchildren.
The youngsters from the Brussels area will visit in July.
The bunkhouses, which accommodate up to 67 people, opened early last year.
They are designed to provide groups with a cost-effective base from which to undertake educational and leisure activities.
School parties in particular are increasingly using the project, which is to be extended next month to provide additional self-catering facilities.
And in a second phase of the development, opened for the 2000 season, the Westfield Lodge Adventure Training Centre has been introduced to offer team-building programmes for groups and companies.
The bunkhouses were the brainchild of Keighley businessman Dennis Pagdin, of the Rotherwood Recruitment Agency, who developed the project on land adjoining his moorland home.
