TWINS Bethan and Cerian Smallshaw have received the first honour of its kind in Otley, for outstanding attendance at choir practice, performance and services at Otley Parish Church. The 13-year-olds also received the Gold Ribbon award for good leadership and their exceptional contributions towards the work of the choir during their time as head girls. Bethan and Cerian are following a family tradition - brothers Kristian and Justin were past members of the church choir and mother Michele sings in the adult section - and was the first woman to join what was a traditional male only choir.
