Despite the floods of Thursday only six matches had to be postponed on Saturday although pitches were on the heavy side, but thanks to hard work by clubs the program did go ahead.

In the Silentnight Premier Division, leaders Cross hills gained a 4-2 victory over Skipton LMS. to maintain their position at the top.

They lead by five points from Keighley FC who visited Gargrave and moved into second place by virtue of their 5-1 victory. They have two matches in hand on the leaders.

Oxenhope Recreation kept their title hopes well and truly on the boil with a 5-0 victory over Colne Cricket Club and they have five matches in hand on Cross hills and have to meet them yet.

Skipton Bulldogs were washed out at Cononley and although they have plenty of matches in hand and are still unbeaten they have a mammoth task to complete the season. Twelve league matches to play, two cup quarter-finals, with the possibility of two semi-finals and they are already in the district semi-final. A tall order indeed.

Addingham remain top of Division One, even though their game at St Pauls was played on Saturday. In fact none of the top five played on Saturday.

Skipton Town lost at Carleton to damage their promotion hopes. Hellifield Sports continued to improve with a home victory over Cowling and though still in the relegation zone opened the gap more over Intake and Oxenhope Recreation Reserves. Sutton are not out of danger yet but managed a 1-1 draw with Intake, who are looking a certainty to go down.

Division Two is going the way of Bronte Wanderers so far. They took maximum points off Gargrave Res with a 7-0 victory and now have a six point lead over Barnoldswick United who have played the same number of matches and who defeated Grindleton Res 4-2.

Embsay Res moved into third place following their 9-1 defeat of Silsden Athletic whilst Lothersdale Athletic maintained their outside promotion hopes with a 4-2 victory at Cowling Res.

Struggling at the bottom are Gargrave Res, Skipton LMS Res who went down to Keighley Res 6-0 and Horton, who could not hold Barrowfield United, losing 5 - 0. Skipton Bulldogs Res eased out of the relegation area with a 4 - 1 victory at Silsden.

No joy for the top two teams in Division Three. Leaders Ilkley Juniors Youth lost at home to Cononley Sports Res 2-1. Second place Bronte Wanderers Res lost at Addingham 3-1 opening up the title race once again.

Earby come into the picture following their 5-0 victory over Intake Res. Waddington have lost the least number of games, one, but with 17 matches and a cup semi-final left they will have to have amazing stamina if they are to play three times a week and keep winning. They did win on Saturday, defeating Settle United 4-1, but with the possibility of further wet weather causing yet more postponements they would be considered a long shot for the title.

Two quarter finals of the Northern Plant Hire Challenge Trophy were played on Saturday with Embsay visiting Rimington and taking the semi-final place with a 2-1 victory after extra-time. Grassington and Grindleton fought out a 3-3 draw after extra-time. Grindleton came back from 2-0 down to lead at one stage, but the resultant penalties saw Grassington romp home converting all theirs whilst Grindleton missed one.
