SIXTEEN cricket teams are to line up for the Keighley Cup 2000 competition.
Every club in the district was invited to take part in the Millennium Year competition which is being sponsored by the Keighley News.
Sports Editor John Heald said: "We are delighted to help revive the competition, which has always been one of the most keenly contested in local sport.
"The clubs have shown their support and now we just need some good cricketing weather."
The draw took place on Monday evening at Keighley Cricket Club with some interesting first round ties in prospect: Ingrow v Bingley Congs; Airedale v Silsden; Steeton v Keighley Tech; Long Lee v Crossflatts, Haworth v Sutton; Wilsden v Oxenhope; Cross Roads v Harden; Denholme v Oakworth.
The games will take place on Sunday, June 18.
