Luke Pinder is on the fast track to success.
The Shipley 16-year-old embarked on his first senior Autograss season on Sunday, having a superb drive in a Scarborough club event. Luke won two of his three races and came second in the third.
Having had lots of success in the junior ranks over the past two years Luke has become one of the best young grass-track car racers in the country.
Now he wants to win in the senior ranks.
"He's got talent," says dad John who runs the Lukespeed family firm which supports the youngster. "We think he can go a long way.
"We were very pleased with Sunday's results because we weren't sure how Luke would do racing against senior drivers."
Luke, whose ultimate ambition is to go into rallying, has won numerous junior races and titles. This season he is aiming for the Class One senior championship run by the White Rose Motor Club of which he is a member, as well as taking part in bigger national races.
Luke would appreciate any local sponsorship to help fund his racing. Anyone interested can contact him or John on 01274 597268 or 0410 968288.
