Defender David Wetherall says Bradford City can prove wrong the bookies who have made them odds-on to be relegated this season.

Following Sunday's 2-1 defeat by Leeds United, William Hill have priced City at 1-6 to be relegated with closest rivals Derby available at 10-3.

No price has been offered for Watford while Sheffield Wednes-day are priced at 1-8 to go down.

Wetherall said: "People have been saying that about us all season. Derby appear to be playing well and maybe that has influenced it, but then again we are also playing well.

"I am a little bit surprised that we have been given no chance but we have surprised a lot of people this season so maybe we can surprise the bookies as well.

"A win last weekend against Leeds and we would have been flavour of the month for getting out of the bottom three.

"It can all change very quickly. Middlesbrough were struggling and now they are looking good after a couple of wins.

"There is a long way to go yet. Ten games is a lot of points to play for."

William Hill odds: 1-8 Sheff Wed, 1-6 Bradford City, 3-1 Southampton, 10-3 Derby, 6-1 Wimbledon, 8-1 Coventry.
