Keighley's Park Studios - home to three of Yorkshire's leading design and promotion companies - has taken a huge leap forward into the new millennium with seven new appointments and an extra 3,000 sq ft of production floorspace.

Based at the Parkwood Street premises are Cooper Associates Ltd, Cougar Printing Company and Extreme Digital Graphic Displays.

Cooper Associates' investment in new design and client service personnel has attracted additional blue chip names like Tesco, Hallmark Cards and Woolworth's, for which the company is designing and producing next season's point of sale ranges.

As well as purchasing and renovating 3,000 sq ft of additional workspace, Cougar Printing Company is awaiting delivery of the area's first digital printing press - capable of speeds of up to 10,000 sheets per hour.

Partner Carl Middleton says: "The new press will provide ultra fast turnaround times without the need for costly films, with print quantities as low as 100 at realistic and affordable prices. Our sales team is briefed to let the local business community know how this facility will revolutionise future printing stock levels."

Extreme Digital Graphic Displays has in only two years progressed into a six-strong team with four ultra large format display printers servicing clients in the UK, Ireland and now in the USA.

Partner Chris Jenkins says: "Our capabilities have rocketed at an unbelievable pace, with full colour outputs up to 100m for anything from exhibition stands, vehicle liveries and in-store point of sale. For one job we clad a whole building in full colour graphics.

"This is the most exciting time in the history of graphic production, and Extreme is right at the cutting edge of the new technology."
