A GUISELEY woman is set to meet millionaire businessman Richard Branson - after climbing the ranks of his new cosmetics empire.

Linda Conway, of Tranmere Park, is hoping to pick up tips from the tycoon when she attends a seminar at the Royal Albert Hall, in May.

But Linda may be able to teach the self-made multi-millionaire a thing or two herself - after sharpening her own business acumen.

Linda said: "I keep joking that I am not meeting him, he is meeting me. But I am very excited. I am really looking forward to it."

In only five months with the recently launched Virgin Cosmetics Company, Linda has beaten off stiff competition to become one of the most successful consultants in the business nationwide.

She recently scooped top sales consultant in the Yorkshire and Humberside area at one of the company's training and award ceremonies and has taken charge of a sales team of six women.

Linda became interested in selling the cosmetics - which works like an updated cross between the Tupperware party format and Avon catalogues - when she heard about the business through a friend.

She said: "I heard about it from a someone who had been to classes and bought the products. I thought that anything that Richard Branson did had to be good."

Linda can pick up bonuses, such as Gucci watches and trips to New York through holding the classes - which are informal get togethers for women to browse through the catalogues and pick up advice and tips - and orders from the brochures.

But Linda says the top perk is having the flexibility to work as often as she wishes - and to spend time with her two children, Charlotte, 11, and Alexander, ten.

She said: "I'm here in the morning for them. I am here when they come home. You can go to the gym. I do some classes through the day and two nights a week but I could work more than that if I wanted. It is going from strength to strength."

Linda, who is not one to rest on her laurels, is currently putting together a new sales team.
