YOUNG snooker star Andrew Smith is on the way to glory after a superb performance in the Under-13 English Snooker Championship.
The competition, which is organised by the English Association of Snooker and Billiards, saw Andrew up against 105 of the top young snooker players in the region. They had all been nominated by their coaches as stars of the future, and the Riddlesden player found himself one of the youngest in his age group.
"He has a very mature attitude to the game and performed brilliantly," said coach John Saxby.
Andrew started playing the game two years ago, playing at Pilky's Club in Keighley, and also has weekly coaching sessions.
