Almost £1.25 million will be spent over the next 12 months improving Keighley roads.
A raft of road safety schemes, road repairs, street lighting and traffic regulation orders were revealed this week.
Bradford council's ruling executive this week approved a £3 million-plus package for the whole district.
Up to £876,000 will be spent on schemes to cut the number of people killed and injured on roads in Bradford and the Aire Valley.
The government allocation to Bradford - the second highest in the region - recognises the district's past success in tackling accidents. An estimated 1,121 injuries have been prevented in nine years.
The biggest local road safety scheme is on Oakworth Road, Keighley, where £32,500 will be spent on warning signs, pedestrian crossings and a mini-roundabout.
Around £6,000 will be spent on providing skid-resistant surfaces at the junction of South Street and Goulbourne Street.
A series of major road repairs, totalling almost £1.2 million, will be carried out in central Keighley and the Worth Valley.
These include Cavendish Street, North Street and South Street, Hebden Bridge Road, from Haworth Brow to Lees Lane, the A629 Halifax Road, at Sugden End, and the A629 along Denholme Main Street.
Street lighting will be improved in Coronation Way, Braithwaite, this year and nearby West Bank Rise next year.
Traffic regulation orders costing a total of £17,260 are planned for Keighley, Haworth, Steeton, Silsden, Cullingworth, Oxenhope, Eastburn and Harden.
Latif Darr, the councillor responsible for transportation and planning, is particularly proud of Bradford's success in reducing road injuries.
"All of these measures will help improve road safety for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists," he says.
Cllr Darr says the road safety package is a true "people's plan" drawn up after extensive consultation, mainly through neighbourhood forums.
"We didn't want a safety plan simply produced by the council," he says. "This is from the community.
"It is important we develop the best solutions through continued involvement with local communities. It's vital we continue to extend the number of life-saving schemes."
Among the new measures are:
Brow Road, Haworth - left turn restrictions
School Street, Steeton - access and waiting restriction
Skipton Road/North Street - waiting restriction to avoid congestion caused by parking
Stone Grove, Steeton, waiting restrictions
