A SOUTH Craven village is among the top dogs when it comes to success at Crufts.
Dog-grooming salon Tail-waggers has brushed up a winner, helping Tibetan Mastiff Chuba win the breed's best bitch award. It is the third consecutive year the High Street, Sutton, clippers have groomed top prize-winners for Chuba's Yeadon-based owners.
Salon owner Anne Andrews says: "We prepare them before they go to the show. We brush them out, shampoo, condition and blow dry them."
And Skye Terrier Ebony, owned by Janet Woodhead of Harper Grove, Sutton, has won three awards - best class, best bitch and reserve best of breed. At 20 months old she is very young to win such an accolade, according to Janet.
Janet, a Skye Terrier breeder, has been involved with dog shows for the past 15 years.
